What Is FRP Rock Bolt?

FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) rock bolts,also called frp  anchors,are a type of anchoring system used in construction and engineering applications, particularly for the reinforcement of concrete structures and rock anchoring. These anchors are made from GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) material, which is a composite material strengthened by a polymer matrix with fibers such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, or aramid fiber. Compared to traditional steel anchors, GRP rock bolt offer several advantages including excellent corrosion resistance, a high strength-to-weight ratio, and electromagnetic neutrality.

GRP rock bolts devices are known by various names including anchor bolts, fiber anchors, fiber bolts, GRP bolts, GRP pins, and GRP anchors. They have a wide range of applications, from external reinforcement of concrete structural elements to slope stability and mining support systems.
