FRP Rock Bolt

frp rock bolt 300x300

The Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) bolt is manufactured using high-strength glass fibers combined with a resin curing agent, solidified through a high-temperature curing process. Characterized by its threaded length, available in either left or right rotation, these bolts typically feature a thread pitch of 10mm with a round head design. Once the GFRP bolt is installed into rock formations, it is secured in place with an anchoring agent, allowing the bolt body to bond effectively with the surrounding rock mass. This interaction between the GFRP bolt and the rock enhances the stress distribution within the rock, thereby increasing its overall stiffness. Consequently, this reinforcement method significantly boosts the rock mass’s resistance to deformation and its load-bearing capacity.
